This group of collections is from my recent visits to Ramle. It is a town that holds work memories for me going back 25 years. It is a town where the mixed population (Arab and Jewish), is clearly present--as is the struggle for transformation to modernity.
The shots are divided into four collections, one of which tells a snippet from the life of Juliet-a local resident I met while photographing.
All of the photographs were taken with a standard smartphone (Samsung J7). Over the recent months, I have been exploring the capabilities of these new photography upstarts, and comparing them with "real" cameras.

Dear Yosef

I was in Ramla a number of years ago on a fact finding tour with a group of other teachers.. We had the pleasure of speaking to some heads of the town and got a real feeling of them being torn between two different ideological philosophies. I often think of that particular trip there and wonder how they are doing. Thank you for these pictures, they bring back fond memories of a time long gone but not forgotten..
