Trench fortifications on a hill overlooking the port of Eilat and the Eilat airfield (to be replaced by a much larger, more modern field north of Eilat.
This fortified hill is WNW of the city center, east of the cemeteries.
The bunker and trench system was built by the Israeli army in 1956-7 for solders to respond to an attack on Eilat.
